Your invited.. Learn how to Earn Money Working Online
01.29.06 (10:53 am)   [edit]

Are you ready to start Earning Money working oniine? For any new venture you start you will need training to succeed, and earning money online is no different.

I wanted to personally invite you some training sessions  I host and let you know about the resources available to you. I have changed my weekly event calander to reflect the advanced trainings I'm attending each week along with my training times.
Take a look at: http://www.barefoot-in-the-garden.com/eventschedule.htm" title="http://www.barefoot-in-the-garden.com/eventschedule.htm" target="_blank"http://www.barefoot-in-the-ga...

I went on a special training this week for the VereConference traffic portal. I just wanted to see what they were teaching... and as usual I learned something new. Many people use these conference rooms for customer service, this works especially well if you are working with people all over the world.

Anyway if you have one of the fre.e conference rooms you can just log in and set your sound features to ring you when someone enters the room. If you promote this to your customers and business builders they will just go to your conference room when they have a question. Pretty cool huh....Of course you will need to stay logged into your conference room to be available.

You can sign up for you own fre.e conference room at: http://barefoot.vereconference.com" title="http://barefoot.vereconference.com" target="_blank"http://barefoot.vereconferenc...

I posted some awesome University of Veretekk recordings on my blog this week. If you apply yourself and do what they are teaching you will learn master internet marketing skills that will make you business soar. If you haven't seen them yet go to: http://barefootmlmtrainin g.blogspot.com/" title="http://barefootmlmtrainin g.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"http://barefootmlmtrainin g.bl...

If There's DESIRE- You'll Find The Way
01.29.06 (10:37 am)   [edit]
Every year I've been in this business, I have heard these three statements probably more than any other:
1.  I don't have the time (to build the business)
2.  I don't have the money (to start and build)
3.  I don't have anyone that would be interested (huge mistake of pre-judgement combined with a thing called--- fear)
I'm sorry, but  the bottom line is, and to put it bluntly--- these are excuses and not reasons.  Let me explain from my own personal experience.
Time
Every person has 24 hours a day whether you are a parent staying at home raising young children, a professional person working 60+ hours a week, or the President of the United States.  We all get 24 hours a day given to us to use in the manner we see fit.
Almost everyone has experienced  times in their life when there was no extra money to do anything.  Right?
However, when we have a burning desire to do something, and we have a strong passion for it, we always find a way--- always.
A burning desire and a strong passion allows us to do things, make decisions, and create (consciously and/or sub-consciously) the conditions we need working in our favor to get or do what we strongly desire.
Money
When I started my Shaklee business, I was broke.  I had no money in the bank.  I had monthly bills that used up every paycheck and then some.  I had to ask my sponsor to hold my check for $13 (at the time) to join Shaklee for 2 weeks until my next pay check came.  I was working a full-time job, helping to raise my first born, and directed a youth singing group that was on the road 2-3 weekends a month.  I used my free time to do what I loved doing-- fishing and hunting.
How did I start and build a successful business when I was broke and was so busy?  The answer is simple, but the solution took discipline.
1.  I sold 2 of my hunting guns.  I sold my motorcycle and snowmobile.  I sold my stereo system and my record collection.  I got the money I needed to start my business because my desire and my passion were stronger than those things I had. I knew I could get back them back one day once my business was up and running and making money.
2.  I changed how I used my time--- my 24 hours.  I stopped fishing.  Instead of spending 3 hours in the boat, I spent 3 hours on the phone calling people to set up appointments.  I stopped watching TV in the evenings and used that time for appointments and meetings.  I decided to turn over the youth singing group to another person to carry forward and they went on to do just fine without me.  I used those weekends to do appointments and meetings and in doing so, I've helped thousands of people over the years with Shaklee products and with their finances as well.
Those were the two main choices and decisions I made to move me from where I was at when I was first introduced to Shaklee (no money and no time), to where I wanted to be able to live the rest of my life-- having the time and the freedom to do what I want, when I want, and to help scores of other people do the same.  I've been able to spend more time with my family, and spend more time hunting and fishing over the past 25 years, and I've been able to do it while in my 20's, 30's and 40's--- I'm only 48!
Fear
Every person I know and that I have worked with over the years has it-- the fear of picking up the phone and calling a friend, a relative, a neighbor, a co-worker, a person you do business with, etc...  I had it big time.  When I would get home from my day job and get ready to start working in my business in the beginning, well in the beginning, there is nothing else to do but to start contacting people about your products and opportunity.  What the heck else is there to do?  I had my list of names in front of me and sometimes I would just sit and stare at the phone like it was going to reach out and bite my head off.
What got me past my fear was once again--- my burning desire to create a better future for me and my family, and my passion to tell my story and the Shaklee story to others.  As I got past my fear and started talking to people, by golly if I didn't find people who were interested, got excited, and every call I made got easier and easier.
When you want something bad enough, you will find the way to do it/get it--- every time
Shaklee is a way of life, a way of living, that enables and empowers you to do great things for your family and for others you care about, and for the  new people who will join your team and become lifelong friends.  In fact, Shaklee is such a high standard of living and lifestyle, offering people so many great things from health to wealth, as well as being great stewards of the environment, that Shaklee is the only Company of its kind that has been in business for 50 consecutive years.
That tells me that what we do is a pretty darn good thing for everyone.  What do you think?
You do not want to miss the 50th Anniversary Convention in San Francisco this August.  I can assure you that it will change your life and will enable you to change the lives of thousands in the future.   Do you like helping other people?  Build a successful Shaklee team.

Why Go to SanFransico for Shakl**'s 50th Celebration
01.23.06 (7:26 am)   [edit]

Note:  This Is A Very Important Post.   Please take the time to read the
entirety, and pass it  on to every business leader and business builder on your
team.  Then---  follow-up with each one.

As you may have noticed by now, there is a new feature  added at My Shakl**
that allows you to see who has, and has not registered  for the 50th
Anniversary Convention this August.  While our list shows  several who have registered,
I'm somewhat shocked as to how many  business leaders and business builders
have not committed to registering  for this event and to be honest, I find this
very difficult to  understand.

This is a must attend event for every Shakl**  business owner.  Shakl**
Corporation is closing down (the  headquarters) for  the week of the convention.
All employees  will be working at the convention.  The best of the best event
planners have been hired to insure this is a convention like no  other.  Over
$1 million dollars a day is going to be spent on  us.

You are going to see some of the most exciting  new product launches ever in
Shakl**'s history, and you can  order them there and save money rather that
waiting until later and paying  more.  New business inititiatives will be
launched.  Extravagant  dinners and parties will take place.  I would think that
being part of history matters--- no network marketing Company has reached  this
milestone.  You'll be able to put new articles in  your local paper about your
being there which can help you prospect new  people into your business

Every serious  Shakl** business owner needs to be there!

The hardest thing for event planners is when people wait  until the last
minute to decide to register and go.  Things that could  have been done, can't be
done because time does not allow to make  arrangements, get new locations for
events, ext.. at the last minute.   That is why it is imperative that people
register NOW.  Use the months ahead to get new people you  recruit to go with
you.

Records have been kept and tracked from the  Orlando convention in 2004, and
the Chicago convention in 2005.  The %  of people that have substantial new
growth upon returning from the  convention in the months that follow totally
eclipse those who do no attend  the convention.  And-- we are talking about
Orlando and Chicago-- while  great conventions, these will not hold a candlestick
to this years'  50th.

Here is  what you need to do:

    1.  If you have not done so, make a decision you  are going to go
    2.  Register for the convention at: http://www.shaklee50th.com" title="http://www.shaklee50th.com" target="_blank"http://www.shaklee50th.com

    3.  Make your hotel reservation ASAP as all hotels are  filling up fast
that are near the convention center.  The 3 main  convention hotels are already
full, but there are several other nearby--  but they are filling up fast too.
    4.  Set aside money every month from now thru August  that is earmarked
for your trip.
    5.  Decide how you will get there- plane, train, bus,  automobile
    6.  Make your transportation  reservation
    7.  If you have a job/weekly obligations, arrange now  to have the dates
of August 16-20 off.  Suggestion-- you may want to  consider adding on an
extra day or 2 either before or after the  convention.  This gives you added free
time to enjoy San Francisco on  your own.  The days of the convention will be
jammed packed with  events, sessions, dinners, and parties.
    8.  THE TRIP IS TAX DEDUCIBLE FOR YOUR  BUSINESS!
    9.  Professional, competent child care will be  available so you can go,
your kids can go, and all will have a great  time, and child care is all
overseen by Shakl**.  They have a  wonderful childcare program

This boils  down once again to desire.  If you have a desire and a  passion
for Shakl** and what you can do for your family and for others with  Shakl**,
you will absolutely find a way to be at this  convention.

You need to be there!   Your team  needs to be there!  You can take brand new
people there who are just  getting started, and what a way to start!

Now, after all this--- can you think of even  one good reason why you should
not be at the Shakl** 50th--- a reason  that makes sense?  It will be worth
every dollar you invest in  your business, and it will be worth every minute of
your  time.

We will be looking at our list on a daily basis  to see who has/has not
registered ,and we will be making calls to those who  have not yet registered to
see if we can add some additional  insight/encouragement to get their
registration in ASAP so the event  planners can plan accordingly.

It is the job of  every leader to communicate with their team the incredible
importance of  being at this event.  However, business leaders must be  there
because how can you expect anyone on your team to be there if they ask  you if
you are going and you say no!?!?!

This  is a  leadership business,  We get paid the big money  (Leadership
Bonuses) for being great leaders.  The speed of the leader  is the speed of the
group.  People tend to always follow what the  leaders does and/or.does not do.
Are you leading with the example that  you want your team to follow?

Immune Builder in the News
01.18.06 (9:31 am)   [edit]
During the height of this winter season, Barefoot Secret Corporation will launch a nationwide public education campaign on January 17 to promote this important message: don’t take your immune system for granted.

Featuring a new Web site from the Center for Immune Research, the new campaign will get underway with a satellite media tour where Dr. Jamie McManus, Shaklee’s Chairman of Medical Affairs, Health Sciences & Education, will join forces with nationally known health expert, Dr. Pam Peeke, to introduce Americans to NutriFeron and to talk about the critical role that interferon plays in strengthening the body’s immune system. The tour, which will reach television stations across the country, will also promote new survey findings showing that 54 percent of American adults -- or an estimated 100 million people -- are extremely worried about attacks on their immune system and want more information on how to protect themselves.

Although TV stations are still signing up to conduct interviews with Drs. McManus and Peeke, a number of stations have been confirmed as follows:
  • KVUE ABC / AUSTIN, TX -- 7:25 - 7:30 AM ET Live
  • KGUN ABC / TUCSON, AZ -- 8:50 AM- 9:00 AM Live
  • KFMB CBS / SAN DIEGO, CA News 8 -- 9:15-9:20 AM ET Live
  • KEZI ABC / EUGENE, OR -- 9:20 AM - 9:25 AM ET Live
  • KMPH FOX / FRESNO, CA Great Day -- 9:25-9:30 AM ET Live
  • WNCR / GREENVILLE, NC Late Local News -- 9:30-9:35 AM ET Taped
  • WLLP / NASHVILLE, TN Local News -- 9:35 - 9:40 AM ET Taped
  • KELO CBS / SIOUX FALLS, SD Health Beat -- Taped
  • WFLA NBC / TAMPA, FL News Channel 8 Today -- Taped     & nbsp;
(Note that the stations with “taped” will air later on 1/17 or on a later date)

In conjunction with the satellite media tour, Shaklee will issue a press release about the campaign and NutriFeron over the national news wires. Then, on January 26, radio stations nationwide will interview Dr. McManus during a morning drive-time radio tour. This will be followed by distributing a column to suburban daily and weekly newspapers nationwide that promotes NutriFeron and its role in increasing the production of interferon in the body.

Stay tuned as Barefoot Secret will be providing more information about this exciting Immune Builder public relations campaign. Learn more visit: http://www.mcaseyenterprises.com" title="http://www.mcaseyenterprises.com" target="_blank"http://www.mcaseyenterprises....

More Tips for Effective Internet Networking
01.01.06 (9:43 am)   [edit]

The growth of the Internet has created many new networking opportunities. Here are more tips for effective Internet networking...

Discussion Lists - These are like bulletin boards, but are e-mailed to members of the list daily, weekly, or whenever a new posting arrives. When posting to these lists, you can include more information about yourself in a signature box at the end of each e-mail. Keep it short, but include some reason for people to get in touch with you outside the list, such as, "Subscribe to my free newsletter," or, "Visit my web site for a free resource guide."

In addition to locating discussion lists through search engines as described above, you can find them through online community hosts such as Yahoo Groups or MSN Groups.

Live Chats - Many online communities sponsor real-time chats on specific topics. Participating in these chats is an excellent way to meet people interested in the subject being discussed. Chat rooms that require membership are best for Internet networking, because you are more likely to encounter professionals seriously interested in the topic instead of people just looking for a date.

Attending chats featuring a guest speaker can be more valuable than you might think. If you ask a question during one of these, don't be surprised if people contact you by e-mail during or after the chat to offer you more resources related to your question. You can make exactly the same type of contacts when you are the one who has something to offer.

Articles - Notice who is writing them and who is being written about. These people are likely to be leaders in your field, or at least highly visible. That makes them good Internet networking contacts for you. Send them an e-mail complimenting them on the article and suggesting you get acquainted for mutual benefit. Make a specific suggestion about what you can offer such as referrals or resources.

Others in Your Field - These may be colleagues, competitors, vendors, or potential clients. Approach them collegially with ideas about how a relationship could benefit you both, such as exchanging referrals, pooling resources, links on each other's web site, or trading endorsements or articles in each other's ezine.

If you can't find a board, list, chat, or site with the exact focus you want for Internet networking, consider starting one of your own. While hosting one of these communities takes time and effort, it will also put you in the center of the network that forms around it instead of on the outskirts.

You are welcome to join us in the Barefoot Business Conference Centre
for our daily Q & A sessions.

Internet Networking Makes Networking Easy
01.01.06 (9:35 am)   [edit]

Networking is one of the most effective ways to find clients for any consulting or professional services business. But if you limit your networking to only what you can do in person, you'll be missing out on a huge number of possibilities.

Networking is more than entering a room full of people and exchanging business cards. It's creating a pool of contacts with whom you can exchange clients, referrals, resources, ideas, and information. Networking can happen by phone, by mail, over coffee, and increasingly, over the Internet.

The growth of the Internet has created many new ways to network without ever leaving your home or office. Pick a topic, any topic, and there will be multiple web sites and online communities devoted to it. Almost any type of Internet presence offers opportunities for networking.

In your favorite search engine, type the name of your profession or specialty, such as "interior design" or "marketing communications." Or, if you have a clearly defined target market, you can use that, such as "baby boomers" or "biotechnology." Skip the sponsored links or banner ads and focus on the detailed results.

What you will find is Internet networking opportunities such as the following:

Professional Associations & Schools - Many association or school sites provide member rosters, resource pages, back issues of newsletters, event calendars, and bulletin boards or discussion lists. Not all of these features will be restricted to members or students.

Resource Sites & Online Communities - These include directories of people in the profession, vendors, articles, event calendars, bulletin boards, discussion lists, live chats, and links to even more resource sites.

Publications - Magazines and newsletters maintain sites that offer everything from back issues to complete online communities.

Job Postings - These may appear on any of the above sites, and often include opportunities for independent professionals, not just those looking for full-time employment.

Colleagues & Competitors - Colleagues and competitors may be exactly the same people, depending on your relationship with them. Their sites will tell you more about them and their work, and may offer many of the same features as resource sites.

Potential Clients - Their sites will tell you about the work they do, current and upcoming projects, and even the names of executives and managers.

Also, if you subscribe to an online service offering interactive "channels," like America Online, CompuServe or MSN, there may be an entire area dedicated to your profession or target market. Some of these resources are available to non-members as well.

Now, how can you use all this information for Internet networking? Here are some of the most common ways:

Bulletin Boards - These are web pages where you can view and post questions and comments on a specific subject. Answering a posted question is an excellent way to demonstrate your expertise, become known to the people who frequent the board, and get to know others in your field.

Don't be overly self-promotional when posting, just include a signature line at the end of your post, such as "Cindy McAsey, Barefoot in the Garden" If you see someone else on the board who you would like to get to know in a collegial way, e-mail them. But never directly approach for business the people you find there. You might find yourself banned from membership.
