I thought you might like to be aware of the last Shaklee Master's Growth Summit and see the note's I recieved...
From Bob Ferguson: Here are some excellent observations from Master Coordinator Gary Burke. I was also impressed by Roger's insightful comments about the power of focusing on actions and attitudes that promote growth. As he said, you can focus on the donut or you can focus on the hole.
He told the group that he had come to the realization again that in the process of building toward momentum, one can focus on challenges and distractions, or one can focus like a laser on what creates growth of members, business builders, leaders and sales. He also pointed out that the most important thing we can all do is to go into action and not wait. Now is the time to build on our success and make it really spin.
He likened it to building up speed in his catamaran sail boat so he could "fly a keel" under the Golden Gate Bridge. I think all of us felt the passion this man has for the job he has cut out for himself, and for all of us. Personally, I felt a tremendous commitment to do my part to back Roger up and show him the kind of support he is so worthy of.
From Gary Burke: Faye and I just returned from a Master Summit meeting held in San Francisco with Roger Barnett and other home office staff. Master Coordinators from all over the U.S and Canada attended. Roger addressed the group and gave us a few figures concerning the growth Shaklee is currently experiencing. He also stated his goals for the United States business for the next 5 years. Rather exciting to know what we will be a part of in the coming 5 years.
Roger's comments and vision:
1 . Must attract more new people to the greatest opportunity in the industry.
2 . We need to quintuple (5 times) sponsoring in United States plus experience a transformative event - which will be the 50th birthday party in August, 2006.
& nbsp; Th is transformative event will set the stage for huge growth as WE WILL HAVE 10,000 people attending. Sloane Barnett (Roger's wife) gave a very powerful an enthusiastic talk as she is heading up the committee for the 50th. This woman is really incredible.
& nbsp; 3. We're well on our way - Sponsoring is up 20%
& nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; &nbs p;   ; & nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; Last quarter is up 36% YTD (Year to date)
& nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; &nbs p;   ; & nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; The average in the industry is 9.2%
4 . Roger's goal is to double the business in North America in the next 5 years! That means us! The United States! We are where we are after almost 50 years in the industry. Roger hits his goals and I say that to you as a reminder that we have some terrific years ahead of us with his leadership.
& nbsp; Th ink about that......Doubling the U.S. business in the next 5 years. Major question:Do you want to be a part of making this goal become a reality? I know I do.
& nbsp;
& nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; 1. What this means is we all need to start thinking different because all growth starts in the mind. Always simple, but not always easy.
From: Ruth & Ralf Jansson Over 100 Masters teams met in San Francisco for a day and a half conference. Roger, of course, was the highlight of the event. One of the first things he told us is that he wants the US sponsoring to quintuple, and the US business to double in 5 years. He said that our business increased dramatically after the Chicago convention, and our total sponsoring was up by 20% for the entire year. He believes that a transformative event, such as our 50th Anniversary, is the catalyst we need to trigger a high point of momentum.
When he first bought Shaklee, he spent a lot of time taking care of problems and learning the basics. Then, he and Sloan did some serious evaluating in their yearly goal setting. He decided that he would spend no more personal time dealing with anything that wasn’t RELATED TO GROWTH! No one is allowed to approach him unless they have ideas for growing the business. We have all been exposed to Roger enough to realize that the man is a force and he does what he says he’ll do. He needs all of HIS energy for growing he hires people to take care of problems. What an amazing person!
He described looking at life as looking at a donut, and he compares diverting your attention to the hole of the donut to being drawn into a vortex and getting sucked down into a hole. Look at the donut not the hole. He added sprinkles to the pictures to make the donut more compelling, and to draw the eye away from the hole.
A lot of emphasis was put on attracting new people to Shaklee, quintupling sponsoring and getting people to the 50th Anniversary event. He put Sloan in charge of planning the 50th and Sloan came in to talk about that. Let there be no mistaking that Sloan is just the wife of the CEO. This lady is a force with whom to be reckoned. She has ideas, plans and has every intention of getting 10,000 people to the most exciting, glamorous event in Shaklee's history. No one will want to miss this.
Sloan emphasized that any member can attend. Expenses are tax deductible for anyone looking at Shaklee as a business, the convention can be the starting point of a family vacation.
Roger's Goal: Double North American Business in 5 years. & nbsp; (He is looking in to restoring cars & trips. More to follow) Raise the Bar: with one sponsored person, a member/distributor orders 6 times as much as a member with no downline. As soon as possible, get people sponsored under a new person so that you can build motivation with a bonus early in the game. Roger's Plan for International: there are currently 5 different sales plans in 5 countries. He wants to simplify and bring uniformity. All new plans will include cars & trips. Roger is looking for a way to tap into Wangaari Mathaii's organization of one million women which is already in place.
Shaklee's Greatest Strengths: Quality products. Opportunity. Shaklee people. Value System. Weakness: Not yet a global seamless plan.
