Going From Good Intentions To Success

I know that everyone has good intentions for building their Shakl** business and moving forward, making changes that will help, getting the job done that they have in mind.  But at times it just doesn't seem to happen.  All of a sudden six months have gone by and people start to question whether or not they can really make things happen the way they thought they could.


It takes work folks but it also takes some kind of a blueprint to follow.  So what I want to do today is give you five (5) short steps to consider for going from Good Intentions to Success.


1. Identify a specific goal.  You might be thinking....here we go again.  But the point is it will make a difference.  Do IT!  Higher PV - New Rank - Sponsor per month - ???


2. Change your thinking.  Only you know the truth of what goes on in your mind. Be future driven in your thinking, think about DOING, think about making something happen.  DO IT!


3. Listen to and watch people who have already done it.  You don't have to re-create the process.  Who do you want to follow?

    & nbsp;   &n bsp;   &nb sp;   &nbs p;    What do they do?

    & nbsp;   &n bsp;   &nb sp;   &nbs p;    How do they THINK?

    & nbsp;   &n bsp;   &nb sp;   &nbs p;    How hard do they work?

    & nbsp;   &n bsp;   &nb sp;   &nbs p;    You need a model.......find one.


4.  Take the initiative to make the needed changes.   Don't allow 6 months to slide by without improving something.  What changes do you need/want to make?

    & nbsp;   &n bsp;   &nb sp;   &nbs p;     ;    What new behavior's do you need to begin TODAY?


5.  Do whatever it takes to get the right experiences. So many people keep asking for information when what they really need is MORE EXPERIENCE.  What this means is you'll have to start to do something because as you get active doing the right things, it is like building a very sturdy, strong wall, with bricks.  One brick(experience) at a time.


My hope and prayer for each of you is that you will have the courage to do the things you have in your heart to do.  Why not Shakl**?

Communicating with your customers

Michal and Kental started arguing as to which of them wrote the better music.
"My music is better," Michal said.  "My melodies bring tears to the eyes of all women."
"No, my music is better," Kental disagreed.  "My scores are more enchanting than anything!  Your music couldn't move a cow, my poor Michal."
"And what do you think?  That your scores would make it dance?"
The dispute was in full swing when a peasant passed by leading his cow back home from the field.  The two musicians saw an opportunity to put their theories to the test.
"Hello there," they said.  "Would you mind if we played something for your cow?"
"Well, if it gives you pleasure, why not?  She's seen a lot worse in her day, I can tell you."
Michal warmed his hands, tuned his balalaika and played the most beautiful melody ever heard by a cow.  But without result - the beast ruminated without moving an ear.  Vexed, Michal passed the instrument to his compatriot, who played a lively score with the same result - no reaction from the cow.
"It's a lost cause," Michal cried.  "Your cow does not have a musical ear."
"Well, I don't know about that," the peasant replied.  "If you would lend me your instrument for a moment, I could play something for her."

Intrigued, Michal and Kental handed over the balalaika.  The peasant did his best to imitate the humming of the flies and the mooing of little cows.  The cow lifted her ears, started whipping her tail from side to side, and walked closer to the peasant as if to hear the music better.




If you have trouble communicating with people, it may be that, like Michal and Kental, you are not playing the music they are used to hearing.

Don't try to flatter your listeners, but speak with words that they understand.  Don't try to impose your meaning by using words and sentences that are too complex.

Global Success Team announces TWO websites!

 By now, most people in Shaklee are familiar with The Global Success Team web
site.  This site has been a fantastic new addition to Shaklee with live
presentations, recorded presentations, and downloadable business building tools. 
Just like Shaklee has two main web sites, shaklee.com which is the public web
site, and shaklee.net which is the web site for members and distributors, now
there is the addition of the 2nd The Global Success Team web site----

Why the new web site and what's the difference?  The Global Success Team.com
web site is for business builders.  The new Global Success Team.net web site

Difference, and The Shaklee Products-- send them to the new

Another thing you will notice that's new is that the 30 Days of Shaklee
presentations are being converted to FLASH presentations which means that everyone
with a computer and Internet access will be able to open and watch the
presentations.  Some of the presentations have already been converted to flash, but
all will be in flash format when the conversion is complete.  To see the

Master Coordinator Bennie Schmidt shared last Sunday night on Leader's
Spotlight how he is using the 30 Days of Shaklee recordings with an incentive.  He
has people enroll in his 30 Days of Shaklee program.  If the person completes
watching all 30 presentations on 30 days, he gives them $125 SRP in free
Shaklee products. If they complete the program in 45 days, he gives them $100 in
free Shaklee products.  Since most of the presentations are less than 30' in
length, Bennie said that one of his new builders was going through 3 presentations
in a day, is excited about Shaklee, and really starting to take off!

There is no place in all of Shaklee that you can send people to where they
will see and learn this type of information about Shaklee and Shaklee products
other than this web site.  it's a fabulous prospecting, sponsoring, and
educational tool.  USE IT AND GROW YOUR BUSINESS!

There's only one way for you to know what this new site can do--- check it
out for yourself and go through it--- then put it to work in your business.
 
Turn Visitors Into Buyers

One of the downsides of the Net is how hard it is to get
visitors to buy what you're selling.  Typically 1% or fewer
visitors buy.  The percentage of visitors that buy is called
your "conversion rate."

Imagine if Kmart or Sears got only got one buyer for every
1,000 people who came through the store.  Because you
don't have to drive across town to get from one web site to
the next, consumers are far less likely feel committed to
placing an order.

Increase your orders by showing visitors what a great
VALUE your product or service is.  List lots of benefits the
customer will get when they buy.  Tell them how your product
or service will make their lives better.

Put a link to your order page near the top of your sales copy
and another at the bottom.  Make sure people always know
where to click at the moment they get the urge to buy.

Being Proud of Network Marketing

Thanks to Dan Henderson for the following quote after my message.   After I read it a couple times the thought came to my mind..."I wonder if people in Shaklee are really proud of the industry we are a part of?"

 

If a person is really proud of the company they represent, the products they sell, and the industry we are a part of, it is actually very easy to talk with people where they sense conviction and pride in what the person is talking about.  Talking with people is what our business is really all about.  Yes we have THE BEST products.  I know and believe that to be true. 

 

But to me this is more a people business than it is a product business. 

    & nbsp;   &n bsp;People want value in the products they use.

    & nbsp;    People want to feel good in their daily lives.

    & nbsp;    People are responsible for their own personal health.

    & nbsp;    People who are retired need extra money (not everyone but many do).

    & nbsp;    People are always looking for a better future.

    & nbsp;    People want to have their own business.

    & nbsp;    People want to be financially independent.

 

I could go on and on about how this is a people business. The point here is simple. If you are really proud to represent Shaklee then talking to people is what you want to be doing because that is the only way I know of to grow this business. 

 

Some times when I talk with people in our business I get the sense that they are trying to build this business without talking to people.  They are just learning and then re-learning the same information over and over.  reading e-mails, etc.  There is a principle I found years ago that really makes sense to me.  You learn to build this business as you go forward NOT before you go forward.  In other words, if your plan is to learn everything first and then attack this business.......I don't think that will work very well.
