Here is a great story that might give you some ideas about making prospecting fun and a  part of your everyday routine.

Hi All--I thought I would share with you something that happened on the way
home from the Coord. meeting Wed.  I met 3 new prospects, at 3 stops I made on
the way home, after Mike House shared how he prospects.

1.) Myself and 2 other Shaklee friends were standing outside the door at
Denny's (I was holding the door)  when a woman walked out and asked if we were
with Shaklee--we said "Yes" and she asked if we had a card because she used to
take Shaklee and wanted to again.  All of us "whipped out" cards (but I beat
them to the draw--sorry Ann & Barb) and immediately handed her another card and a
pen after I asked her a few things about herself and her past experience with
Shaklee and asked if she could write down a number where I could reach
her--and she did.  I thought: "Wow, that was easy--and felt really good!"

2.) I went to a clothing store and there was a long line to check out that
fed into 3 cashiers.  I remembered that Mike said that he talks to people in
lines. (I was in a line! What do I have to lose?)  My thoughts:  1. I wasn't sure
who to talk to, the person in front or in back of me. 2. It was a really long
line, I wasn't sure what to talk about since it might be a while.  3. 
Neither person seemed very friendly so I didn't know if I even wanted to talk to
them--so I didn't talk to them (missed opportunity, oh well)....but....

While I was thinking these things thru, I was watching one cashier who looked
like she enjoyed what she was doing and got people thru quickly, and it just
so happened that she waved me over to check out--I bought ONE item--the
following all took place in probably 2-3 minutes as I checked out. 

We started talking--she was really pleasant, so after a few "pleasantries" I
said: "Seems like you like your job", her response: "Oh, I love it...!"  I
asked:  "Do you like the hours?"  she said: "I only work part time, 3 days a wk.
so it's not bad."  I said:  "Really, have you ever thought of making some $ on
the side with you own in-home business?"  She said" "Yes, I started one 3
months ago writing obituaries for a paper."  I said: "Really? Well, I help people
start home-based businesses on the side of what they are already doing, I'm
always looking for personable people like you, here's my card (handed her 2
cards and a pen), is there a number where I can reach you?"  She gave me her name
and number and we parted with "I'll call you". Now I'm thinking--That was
REALLY EASY and FUN!  

3.) Then I stopped at a grocery store I had never been to so I wasn't
familiar where things were.  A manager was stocking shelves and asked me if I was
finding everything I needed, I said "Yes, thanks".  He continued to talk to me as
a manager "how do you like the store, did you see the specials..."  It dawned
on me that I had just met another really pleasant person, so after he was
winding down with his questions, I started to ask him some questions about his
job (like I did with the cashier) and then I asked: "Have you ever considered
looking into a way to make money on the side?"  He said: "Oh ya', I have tried
many different things but haven't been very successful at any of them." I said:
"Oh really!  Well, I help people start home-based businesses on the side of
what they are already doing and I'm always looking for personable people like
you, here's my card (handed him 2 cards and a pen) is there a number where I
can reach you?"  He gave me his name and number and we parted "I'll call you".
That was REALLY, REALLY EASY and FUN!  

Results:  I've talked to the first woman who was interested in products and
we're moving forward with that, and I've left one message on the other 2
peoples machines so I don't know where it will go, but my reason for sharing this
with you because in my 12 years in Shaklee I have never gotten 3 numbers in one
day unless I was behind a Shaklee booth!

The best results I received--CONFIDENCE, and EXCITEMENT to go out and meet
more people until I find the right people who want what we have and are willing
to do what we do!

Going back to what Mike shared about prospecting, Mike is in Pat Hintze's
group and this is what Pat talked about in the training "Do Shaklee when you go
out!" This is how you prospect, which is something I never really
learned/understood because I was brought in thru a "product approach".  NOW I GET IT!!! 
Dean, who came in to Shaklee 33 yrs. ago thru a business approach, has been
telling me he wants to talk to 30 people a day and I never fully understood what
he meant until now.  You CAN talk to 30 people a day if you are out amongst
people and prospecting! 

Prospecting is simply talking to "personable" people when you are out, being
"personable" back, and offering them "our gift" (a way to make $).  It is up
to them whether they say "Yes or No".  If they say "NO", it's because they just
don't "KNOW" we are offering, it's not personal!

Hope this inspires you to go out and prospect--No, prospect as you go out as
